So today it "begins." So let's sum up what you can expect.
Verizon will start selling the iPhone4 on Feb 10, 2011, for a price point of $199/$299 for the 16/32gb models. This pricing will be with a two year contract. No monthly plan details have been released as of yet! You will also have an option for an unlimited data plan and you will be able to use the device as a mobile hotspot that allows you to connect up to 5 devices to share your data connection for internet access.
What you won't get is data and voice simultaneously! If you are on a call, you will NOT be able to run any apps that require a data connection. Well let me rephrase that: you can launch them, but you will not be able to get connected to the data network while on a call. What does this mean? Well, if your on a call and trying to look up directions using Google maps you will not be able to load map data or get GPS tracking, as long as you're talking. You will also not be able to forward an email to the person you are talking too while talking to them. :(
Should you buy one?! Well if you think about it the phone will be out the second week of Feb, and sometime in June Apple will announce the next generation of iPhones for release sometime either in June or July. If you get a new Verizon iPhone in Feb, you will be locked in and not able to get "upgrade" pricing for the shiny new phone that will release this summer, therefore you will pay full price which is normally about 500 to 700 bucks depending on storage size! So my advice....you have waited this long...wait 4 more months!

Take all the things most users want to do when online (check facebook, chat with friends, read tweets, and get information from the sites they like) and shove them all into one convenient place and you get RockMelt!
RockMelt is a new browser that uses the Chrome engine to bring together some very cool web functions. So with the announcement of the new "Mac App Store" that is supposed to be opening up within the next 90 days for Mac users, I got to thinking....hmm did Apple just steal this idea or are they actually just mimicking the iOS app store?
Just about 1 year ago exactly I posted a demo video on my youtube channel for a cool new application I found that was an App store for mac apps. It has all the cool features you expect and will be getting from apple when they release their version of the Mac app store. Bodega will track all of your currently installed apps and automatically notify you of any updates available for download, as well as install new apps with a "one click" solution just as the announced app store will feature.
I did a little reserach and it appears that Bodega is still up and running as it was over a year ago...and you can find the app and give it a try at http://appbodega.com/ Its free to install and will allow you access to ton and tons of both freeware apps as well as paid apps to install and use. Below is the video demo I did showing off Bodega and how it works! After watching my video head on over and take a look at what Steve Jobs announced at the "Back to Mac" event on Oct 20th and tell me you don't see a WHOLE BUNCH of similarities!!

Any Mac users out there that have been wondering "hmm how come all the iOS devices get to facetime but me and my mac dont!?" :) Well Guess no more, at todays "Back To Mac" event along with lots of cool new announcements that I will touch on in another blog Apple has given the world Facetime for Mac! Now you can use your Mac to run the facetime software and do video chat with other Macs as well as iOS devices such as the iPhone4, iPod Touch, and iPad!
One thing I find myself asking...well myself is, Facetime looks alot like iChat without the chat componet as far as function, so will they be intagrating the two apps or will this be just another app we need to run?? I think it would be nice if they were to add a txt chat feature into Facetime and then just drop the whole iChat as a whole or better yet add a facetime componet to iChat so we can still talk via other messaging services like GChat, AIM, Yahoo ect.
I'd Like to see facetime/iChat work a bit like Blackberry Messenger with the ability to add someones acct info and be ale to either chat via txt or video with that person...thats just my two cents worth.
Anyway here is how Facetime for Mac works when calling a Facetime user on an iPhone4
If you want to get your hands on the Beta Facetime App you can download it from here!
Thanks for all your support and please leave comments on this video, the new site and pretty much anything else you'd like to say!

This video we will talk about the new feature in iOS 4.1 known as HDR photography. HDR (high dynamic range) photos are meant to show more range in contrast and light levels than normal photos. HDR has been around for year withe regular photography and now apple has brought the world of HDR to mobile devices. How well did they do? Does iOS4.1 bring a true HDR capability to your iPhone 4?

The Incase clear snap case is a great option to show off your new sleek iPhone4, However its bit slick in the hand with its glossy finish. Better keep a good grip on it or it may slip out of your hand pretty easy!
